What data we store

The DigiCollab portal is used for the hackathons of the Erasmus+ project DigiCollab. Your account is created by the organisers. We store only what is needed for your participation:

• Account: name, email address and password (hash only).
• Participation: your hackathon, your team and your role.
• Content: what you and your team submit or upload, and help requests to the organisers.
• Emails: login details when your account is created and password reset links.

The legal basis is running the hackathon you take part in (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Access is limited to the organisers and to the mentors and jury members of your hackathon. Post-event feedback is anonymous. We never sell data or use it for advertising.

Minors

For participants under 16, the consent of a parent or guardian must be obtained before the account is created. This is done by whoever organises their participation: the school, the partner organisation or the event organiser. Parents and guardians can request information or have the account deleted at any time via info@interaktiv.de.

Cookies and server logs

The portal sets only two strictly necessary cookies: one for your login (7 days) and one for your chosen language. There is no tracking and no advertising. Server logs with IP address and access time are kept for security and deleted after 7 days (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Service providers

The portal is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Emails are sent via Resend Inc. (USA); your email address and the message content are transferred to the USA for this purpose, safeguarded by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Data processing agreements are in place with both providers.

Retention

We keep your data for the duration of the Erasmus+ project, because we must document the hackathons to the National Agency. After that it is deleted or anonymised. You can request the deletion of your account at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). To exercise them, write to info@interaktiv.de. You can also complain to a supervisory authority; the competent one is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Düsseldorf.
